COVID-19 Mental Health First Aiders

4/21/2020

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted on all of us with how we work and how we interact with our friends, family and colleagues. For those who are socially isolating alone, the lack of contact can be exceptionally hard. Equally, if you are living in a full house, the lack of space can also be exceptionally hard. Many of us are having to adapt to a new way of working. Some are working from home and balancing work and home life, struggling to separate the role of NCA officer and caring responsibilities. Others are deployed either into the office or operationally and are concerned with coming into contact with people with coronavirus.

The NCA Mental Health First Aiders (MFHA) network is trained to be able to support you and you can contact them for a confidential conversation. If you have no privacy at home, you could consider making that call when taking daily exercise or even making that call from your parked car. Please access the contact details for the Network on the NCA intranet People Hub. If you have no access to the intranet, you can contact the MHFA Co-ordinator on 07876 448558 who will be able to give you the details of an MHFA who can help
